Silver Waterfall has long been regarded as an awe-inspiring scenic spot in Sa Pa. The waterfall cascades down the mountainside from the altitude of over 100 meters. Standing at the foot of the waterfall and adoring the greatness of the nature arouse sightseers the feeling that all fatigue seem to be eased.
Silver Waterfall belongs to San Sa Ho Commune, Sapa District, Lao Cai Province. Its geographical coordinates are 22.361626 north latitude and 103.778912 east longitude. The waterfall is the upstream of Muong Hoa Stream, at the foot of O Quy Ho Pass, approximately 12 kilometers from Sa Pa Town. Located right next to Highway 4A – an arterial road to Lai Chau Province, Silversea Waterfall owns a prime location; therefore, it is quite convenient to travel to this destination from both sides: from Lai Chau Province or Lao Cai Province. Normal travelers can catch bus from Sapa Town, on the other hand, adventure lovers can rent a motorbike with the price of 150,000 – 200,000 VND per day (equivalent to 7 – 9 dollars/day) to get there.

The road to Silver Waterfall is winding with gorgeous natural scenery: pine forests, flower fields, blue sky, and majestic mountains. On the way, travelers can listen to the breath of winds, the melody of birds, and the sound of Silver Waterfall pouring down from a distance. On the clear and blue sky days, standing on Ham Rong Mountain, sightseers can see the white color of the flowing waters tumbling down from majestic mountains. This is reason why local peopled named the waterfall “Silversea”. Climbing to stone steps and getting atop the waterfall, visitors can admire the magnificent vista and snap beautiful pictures. Later, coming down at the foot of the waterfall to visit salmon breeding center and enjoy Sapa delicacies such as forest pork, roasted eggs, etc.
