Thanh Hoa airport or Thọ Xuân Airport (THD), it is located in the administrative boundary of Sao Vang town, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, about 40km away from Thanh Hoa city, with total planning area of 654.8 ha.
Passenger Terminal Thanh Hoa Airport has an area of 1150 m2 with designed traffic about 600,000 passengers per year in order to ensure the capacity of 190 passengers / hour peak, fully equipped with equipment for aviation and non-aviation.
The passenger terminal is designed with two floors with a total floor area of 5,000 m2. The first floor is the check-in area, luggage area, ticket counter and security check area, luggage conveyor belt.
The second floor is used as a waiting room for business travelers, business class rooms and commercial services such as refreshments, souvenir stalls. After completion, the station will have capacity to serve 600 passengers during peak hours, designed capacity of 1.2 million passengers per year, capable of expanding capacity to 2 million passengers per year.
Up to now, Thanh Hoa Airport is operating three domestic flights: Thanh Hoa Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa ⇔ Buon Me Thuot, Thanh Hoa ⇔ Nha Trang with the operation of three major airlines are Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, Jetstar and Thanh Hoa International Airport ⇔ Bangkok.
