Besides domestic airlines, there are many international airlines operating flights from Thailand to other countries all around the world (and versus). Currently, Thailand has around 10 international airports and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the busiest one among them all.

There are a lot of direct routes between Asian countries and Thailand while the number of direct routes between Thailand and Europe and North America are still limited. Following are the details of main international routes from Thailand and the airlines operating them.

1. From Thailand To Asia

Thailand is well connected with countries in Asia with the support to operate a complex flight network. Therefore; there are many daily flights between Thailand and the countries, especially various direct flights. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar are main destinations in Asia of the international flights from Thailand.

• Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City

There are almost 20 daily flights from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City, operated by Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Thai Airways, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jestar.

2. From Thailand to Europe

The number of direct flights from Thailand to European destinations is quite limited, most of them have at least one stop. Germany, France, England and Netherlands are countries in Europe well connected with Thailand in the flight network.

• Bangkok – Berlin

Many international airlines operate the flight routes from Thailand to Berlin, all of them are transit flights and the some popular stops are Vientiane, Doha and Dubai. You can book flights on Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Aeroflot, Finnair, Swiss International Air Lines, Eurowings, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, British Airways, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Air France, MIAT Mongolian Airlines, etc.

If you want a short time travel, you should choose Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines. But if you want to travel with low-cost, you are recommended to choose Eurowings, Royal Jordanian and Aeroflot.

• Bangkok – Frankfurt

There are about two daily direct flights from Bangkok to Frankfurt, operated by Thai Airways and Lufthansa. Thai Airways have the flight THAI 920 departing daily at 23:40 and arriving at 05:50 the next day, and the other flight THAI 922 departing at 12h50 and arriving at 19h50 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. And Lufthansa has the Lufthansa 773 departing daily at 23:50 and arriving at 05:50 the next day. The ticket price of Thai Airways is about $803.28 while of Lufthansa is $1674.42, about double.

We also have a lot of transit flights from Bangkok to Frankfurt, operated by Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines, Air India, Emirates, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Finnair, Thai Airways, Turkmenistan Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air China, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, etc. And the most popular stop in Vientiane. Among them all, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines are the ones operating the shortest flight routes, while Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways and Emirates offer the cheapest routes.

• Bangkok – Paris

Thai Airways and France Air are the two airlines providing daily direct flights from Bangkok to Paris. Thai Airways has the THAI 930 departing at 00:05 in Bangkok and arriving at 06:50 in Paris while France Air has the Air France 165 departing at 11:30 and arriving at 18:25 daily. The price of Thai Airways for an economy class ticket is about $869.26 while of France Air is pretty higher, $1154.44.

Besides the direct flights, you can choose booking a transit flights, operated by Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Finnair, Air India, Austrian Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Aeroflot, Gulf Air, Ukraine International, Jet Airways, etc. It is highly recommended that you should book the tickets from Jet Airways, Oman Air, British Airways, Etihad Airways, Air India, Qatar Airways and Aeroflot.

• Bangkok – Amsterdam

It seems there only one daily direct flight from Bangkok to Amsterdam, operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, departing from Bangkok at  12:15 and arriving to Amsterdam at 18:30. The ticket price for the economy class is $1350.71. There is another company operating the direct flights from Bangkok to Amsterdam is Eva Air, but the routes are not daily, they are in Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. The ticket price is from $951.56.

The best indirect flights from Bangkok to Amsterdam are operated by Swiss International Air Lines, Jet Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Aeroflot because the others only offer routes with more than 1 stop.

3. From Thailand to North America

Like international flight routes between Thailand and countries in Europe, there are not many airlines operating the direct flights between the two destinations, most of them have at least one stop.

• Bangkok – New York

There are few direct flights from Bangkok to New York and the transit flights are operated by many international airlines such as Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, Air China, All Nippon Airways, China Airlines, Norwegian, etc. The routes time are longer than 19 hours at least and Tokyo, Hong Kong or Taipei are the popular stops.

• Bangkok – Vancouver

Flight routes from Bangkok to Vancouver are operated by many Chinese airlines and that’s why they mostly stop in destinations in China such as Hong Kong. Popular companies offering flight routes from Bangkok to Vancouver are Hong Kong Airlines, China Airlines, China Southern, Cathay Pacific, Xiamen Airways, etc.

4. From Thailand to Oceania (Australia – New Zealand)

• Bangkok – Sydney

There are more than 3 daily direct flights from Bangkok to Sydney, operated by Thai Airways, Qantas Airways, and Emirates.

The transit flight routes are operated by Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Scoot, etc.

• Bangkok – Auckland

There only one direct flights from Bangkok to Auckland operated by Thai Airways. It departs at 18:45, arrives at 12:05 next day and the ticket price for the economy class is from $701.56.

But it is recommended that you should take the routes from AirAisa because it is pretty cheap, only from $4. The flight routes often have two stops at Kuala Lumpur and Gold Coast.
