Independence Monument

Iber Bilkhalifah Mosque

This square includes an open hall, an independent monument (Vimean Ekareach), a small shrine, and a park. This square was built in 1985 to honor the independence and the end of war in Cambodia. The ceremony is held on January 7 every year.

Blue mountain Sihanoukville

You should take the Route 4 north of the city about 2.5 km, turn right at the brewery, go up the hill, go through the temple about 200 m, climb the rocks and enjoy the sunset.

St Michael Church of Sihanoukville

Built in 1962, the church was the site of local Christian prayer until 1975. From 1975 to 1979, the church was used to house prisoners. Since 1979, it was a warehouse and reopened in 1993. About 50 families come here to pray. Guests should pay attention to the architecture of brick “sailboat” in front and the boats on either side. These works were designed by the Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann. He also designed the Independence Monument, the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh. The church is at the corner of Boray Kamakor and Kampuchea-Soviet Mittapheap, at the foot of Sihanoukville mountain.

The Sihanoukville Port

Built between 1955 and 1960, the port depth is 11-13 m, with the exception of some 8-9 m spot depths in the strait near Koh Pos. From Victory beach, visitors can see the old pier exits the coast about 290m. The northern section includes a wharf 350 m long and a 3,117 m long breakwater. The vessel enters west or southwest from Koh Pos and mainland.

Vimean Tao Meas

This is a prominent statue located in the traffic circular between Sokha Beach and Ochheuteal Beach. This statue was built in 1996. Around the roundabout are restaurants and karaoke bars. The garden surrounding the statue is a place of fun for the people here, especially the youth.

Wat Chotynieng

Wat Chotynieng overlooks the entire city from Sihanoukville Mount. The paintings describe the life of the Buddha. Behind is the portrait of the founder, Prince Junot and Lok Om (left). The Lok Om statue erected in 1996 is in front of the chapel.

Wat Utynieng

Situated on a small hill on Santipheap Road, Wat Utynieng overlooks the sea. This temple worships Ya-Mao, a local god.

Kampong Pier Nup Lok

The port is located about 2 km north of Hun Sen beach. Guests can take a photo or visit the wooden harbor and the surrounding villages. Fishing vessels leave the port just before sunset. This is a very beautiful scene, especially if seen from the beach Victory.

Victory Monument

Victory Monument is near the beach Victory, built in 1985 as a symbol of friendship between Cambodia and Vietnam to remember the victory of the Cambodian people with the help of Vietnam to the Khmer Rouge. You can find such monuments in most of Cambodia’s main cities.

Stung Hav District

Approximately 23 km north of Hun Sen beach, there are lots of fresh fish, but no tourist transportation modes. Tourists should organize a half-day trip to visit the small town of Cambodia. You can walk along the coastline to get here.
