Trong cave is situated in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, 500 m to the North West of Trinh Nu cave. Trong cave has archaeological remains of Soi Nhu culture, dating from a thousand years ago.
In Trong cave, there is a very tall column stone, like a man’s image, looking out to sea, far away from the Trinh Nu cave. According to the legend, Trong cave and Trinh Nu cave are caves describing a beautiful love between of a couple. The man knew that his lover was exiled on a rocky island, and he went to find her. Seeing his lover, but he could not reach, he used the stone to knock on the wall to tell the girl he had come. He knocked until he was exhausted and died there.

Trong-Cave

The distance of Trong cave and Trinh Nu cave is roughly 700m-800m, separated by a small bay. The two gates turn in different directions. From this cave, if anyone shouts out loud, the rest cave can hear.
The nature always offers preferential gift to the people such as sparkling blue seas, majestic mountains, rich products, plentiful and countless miraculous caves. Trong cave has an impressive collection of stalactites and stalagmites formed in various shapes. Stalactites and stalagmites are created by running water from the ceiling to the floor, melting the limestone when the water flows through.
Trong cave has two large gates connected east-west through two cliffs. From the ceiling at the east gate, the silver-colored stalactites are lying down. Standing in the cave, people may feel the wind is blowing into the rock, echoing back to the wall, making a sound like a drum sound. The remnants of that night’s hurricane are still there today – broken pieces of rock, roaring wind through the cliffs and the white foam bubbles.
