That Chomphet Stupa was constructed in the same time and located next to That Foun Stupa. The Lao people built That Chompet Stupa to induce Buddhist values and motivate reality and clearness. According to faith, the belief of the merit-making is being situated at the centre of the Buddhist core. They believe that Chomphet will bring happiness, peace and good fortune. That Chomphet Stupa was demolished entirely in 1966.

Built in the same period as That Foun and located near by, The Chomphet was created to evoke Buddhist values, inspiring truth and clarity. At the core of Buddhism is the belief the only merit-making (i.e. doing good deeds, maintaining morality and respect) will bring happiness, progress and prosperity. That Chomphet was almost completely destroyed in 1966 during the war.
In spite of the fact that That Chomphet is really ancient and damaged; it still has its own attractiveness. To get to That Chomphet, you can walk along the trail or you can ride a bicycle. Coming to That Chompet, you may take a photo, but only until the grass is cut.
