Linh Phuoc Pagoda is located at 120 Tu Phuoc, Trai Mat, taking about 8 km from Da Lat city center. It was started construction in 1949 and completed in 1952 by some Thua Thien Hue monks, and starting to be reputable when Thich Tam Vi monk restored the entire its architecture and built more new buildings. Linh Phuoc Pagoda impresses tourists with the first pilgrim, Long Hoa Vien carved dragon shape and curved long to 49m around the statue of Buddha. The dragon is made of fragments of 50,000 bottles of beer, and next to the dragon is the lake and the Buddha statue on the top.
Especially, the major hall and front stupa are decorated sophisticatedly with many unique patterns that represent for Vietnamese culture. While the front stupa carved dragon image with 27m in height, the first floor attracted tourists for 108 statues. Inside the cathedral, the statue of Buddha once again impresses tourists with 4.9m in height, including the lotus tower, covered completely by gold. Along the two main halls are two rows of mosaic dragons similar to the mosaic style in the tombs of the Nguyen emperors.
On top of these two columns are the bas-reliefs depicting the history of Buddha from the birth to nirvana. More impressively, in front of Long Hoa Vien is a 7 storey tower, with 36m in height (which is considered the highest stupa in Dalat today) where preserves the Buddha, and other historical relics. Especially, the bell is 4.3 m in height, 2.3 m in diameter and weighs up to 8.5 tons, attracting a lot of tourists to discover about the magnificent architecture of the pagoda.
Coming to Da Lat city, tourists do not only remember as the valley of love, but also consider as the mysterious spiritual land with many special delicate architecture works like Linh An pagoda and Linh Phuoc pagoda.
