How is the weather in Laos? Laos has suffered from tropical climate, divided into two distinct seasons: dry season (from October to May), rainy season (from June to September). Vientiane is the only centrally – governed city in Laos. Vientiane consists of 9 secondary administrative divisions including 5 urban areas and 4 rural ones. Vientiane Capital is located in the Vientiane Special Urban Area. The day before Vientiane was in Vientiane, but in 1989 it was split into two: Vientiane district and Vientiane Special Urban Area. Vientiane is located in the northwest of the Lao PDR, on a tributary of the Mekong River, which is the natural border between Laos and Thailand.

Weather of Luang Prabang
Located 425 km north of Vientiane capital in the Upper Laos, where two rivers Mekong and Nam Khan meets at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. Between November and February, the minimum temperature is 12.9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 32 degrees Celsius. From March to May; it vacillate from 14.9 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius. The temperature changes from 19.8 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius in June through October. August has seen the most rain amount. Concurrently with dry season, the weather is moderately hot and pleasant. The weather of Luang Prabang makes people feel comfortable because it is sunny during the day, but it will cooler at night. Luang Prabang experiences cold in the first part of the day. Weather of Phongsali
From November to February, the lowest temperature is 11.8 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature is 27.6 degrees Celsius; while between March and May; it is 14.6 and 32 degrees Celsius. From June to October; it fluctuates from 19.3 degrees Celsius to 30.9 degrees Celsius. Rainfall most in July and August.

Weather of Pakse and Bolaven Plateau
