The Wat Aham is a Laos temple which is built in about 19th century. The Wat Aham consisting of a sim and two stupas. This temple is known as a place for meditation and meetings of Buddhist. The Wat Aham is not far from the Wat Visoun temple, this temple is becoming more and more popular with people who are seeking a quiet and tranquil atmosphere.

Standing at the Southern and Eastern corners of the front porch are the two statues: Ravana statue and Hanuman statue. The architecture of this temple has some differences compared to other temples in Luang Prabang. The difference is that there is no surface embellishment on the porch walls.

The sim has a roof with three layers; furthermore, there are several stupas on the ground. The interior decoration is much more glowing and brilliant, with the main color tones are red and gold which demonstrates the history of this city.
Although the temple is not located in the favorable location at the center of Luang Prabang, it still plays a very important role for the Lao people as well as the tourists.
