From Saigon to Da Lat

Saigon – Da Lat is such a famous route, there are a lot of tourists travelling from Saigon to Da Lat everyday. From Saigon to Mui Ne

Since there is no train station in Mui Ne, the tourists choosing to travel by train from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne have to stop at one train station close to this town. There are two train stations very near to Mui Ne, one is in Phan Thiet City and one is in Binh Thuan. Because the train station in Phan Thiet is only 15 km far away from Mui Ne, while the one in Binh Thuan is 40 km far away, most of tourists choose to stop at Phan Thiet station. If you want to travel direct from Saigon to Mui Ne, you can catch a tourist bus. There are a lot of buses operated by different companies run on this route. You can choose to depart at 7:00 am, 7:30 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm (or 2:25 pm), 5:30 pm (or 8:00 pm), or 9:00 pm 10:30 pm). Buses take around 4.5 hours to get from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne, and a ticket costs around $12.

From Saigon to Nha Trang

There are a lot of daily trains on the route from Saigon to Nha Trang, up to 10 ones every day. They depart at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:50 am, 2:40 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:25 pm, 9:55 pm, and 10:20 pm. So you can easily choose the time to depart suitable for your schedule. From Saigon to Quy Nhon

Train is considered the best way to get from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon City. It is safe and comfortable, and provides tourists incredible scenery outside. Even though there is no train station in Quy Nhon City, you can get off at Dieu Tri Railway Station, which is in Binh Dinh province and only 10km away from Quy Nhon city. There are 7 daily trains offer this route, they depart at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:50 am, 2:40 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm, and 9:55 pm. A ticket can cost from $20 to $37. And the train takes around 12 hours to get from Saigon Train Station to Dieu Tri Train Station. From Dieu Tri Train Station, you can easily take taxi to get to the center of Quy Nhon City.

From Saigon To Hoi An

Bus is a longest way to get from Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An. The bus depart every day at 7:45am and arrive in Hoi An at 6:30 am in the next day. So you have to spend almost a day and 1 night on the bus. Yet the advantage of travelling by bus is its low cost, only $32.
Yet bus is not always a good choice for tourists, many of them choose to travel from Saigon to Da Nang by train and get to Hoi An then by taxi. There are 6 daily trains run from Saigon and having a stop at Da Nang Train Station. They depart from Saigon Train Station every day at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:50 am, 2:40 pm, 7:45 pm, and 9:55 pm, and arrive at Da Nang Train Station after 16-18 hours. Ticket cost is from 38$-60$.
The best way is to fly from Saigon to Da Nang, it takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes only. You can book the ticket with Vietnam Airlines, Viet Jet Air or Jetstar.

From Saigon to Hue

Train is a very good choice to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue. There are around 6 trains depart every day from Saigon Train Station (at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:50 am, 2:40 pm, 7:45 pm, and 9:55 pm). The ticket price is from $46 to $74.
There are also a lot of daily flights on this route which can be another option for tourists. Vietnamese Airlines like Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air and Jestars operate more than 8 flights from Saigon to Hue every day. You will spend around 90 minutes for each flight route and you should book the ticket early to get more chances to buy a cheap ticket.

From Saigon to Hanoi

Even though Saigon – Hanoi is very long journey, some also choose to travel by train to see the scenery and also for the “train experience”. There are 5 trains which depart daily from Saigon Train Station at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 2:40 pm, 7:45 pm, and 9:55 pm and arrive at Hanoi Train Station after 32-34 hours. The ticket price is from $58 to $82.
However, plane seems to be a bit more popular choice. Tourists can save a lot time travelling by this way. You will only have to spend more than 2 hours to travel by plane, much shorter than by train as mentioned before. There are up to 45 daily flights from Saigon to Hanoi which are operated by Jestar, Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air. Jestar and VietJet Air are low-cost airlines whereas Vietnam Airlines is more famous for good services.
