Lak Lake located on the traffic road between Buon Ma Thuot City and Da Lat Town, in Lien Son Town, Lak District, Dak Lak Province, about 56km from south of Buon Ma Thuot City along Highway 27, is the beautiful landscape of the Central Highlands nurshing many organism of Dak Lak, as well as storing the huge freshwater for hundreds of hectares of rice fields, while also harmonizing the climate in here. Lak Lake, one of the large natural freshwater lakes connected to the Krong Ana River, about 500ha in width, located at altitudes over 500m above sea level, is the unique ecotourism destination attracting both domestic and foreign tourists, with a natural beauty of romantic mountains and surrounding forests. The origin of the Lak Lake waterways from the Chu Chang Sin mountain range, after wading through the large thousands of forests in the Central Highlands, all converged together in the Lac Thien town of Lak District, shaped as the vast lake in the route connecting the two cities Buon Ma Thuot and Da Lat.
