One of the biggest airports in Vietnam is Ho Chi Minh Airport or Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). It is located in Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh Airport is currently the busiest airport with the highest transport volume in the country.
At present, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, there are 04 domestic airlines (Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar and VASCO) operating domestic and international flights ,and 43 international airlines operating. Including passenger carriers and cargo carriers.

Ho Chi Minh airport or Tan Son Nhat airport is located around 6km north from the center (district 1) of Ho Chi Minh City. Go to and from Tan Son Nhat airport, you can travel by taxi, bus, or rent a car.
• Taxi: Because it is few kilometers so you only take 5 – 10 minutes to travel between Ho Chi Minh center and Tan Son Nhat airport. Taxi seems to be the most convenient way. Popular taxi brand names are Mai Linh, Vinasun, Saigon Tourist, Saigon Air and etc. The taxi rate is often about 70,000 – 80,000 VND.
• Bus: This way is the most suitable for budget tourists. There are four routes to and from Tan Son Nhat airport to the center, include bus no.152, bus no.109, bus no.119 and bus no.49. The price ranges from 6,000 VND to 40,000 VND (30 cent to 2 dollar) depending on different bus and the length of road. For instance, a bus ticket of bus no.152 is only 6,000 VND but a ticket of bus no.49 is 40,000. Although it is cheap, bus is not the best option when you have a lot of luggage.
• Rent a car: When you are from Tan Son Nhat airport to the center, you can book a private car at their counter at arrival terminal. It may cost 250,000 VND to 1,500,000 VND depending on types of cars. For example, it is 250,000 VND ($12) for a 4 seat car while 900,000 VND ($40) for renting a 25 seat car. This service is suitable for business, family or a large of group.
