Can Gio is known as a green oasis surrounded by a mangrove forest. For those who like to enjoy the natural space, this is the suitable place.
You can travel to Can Gio beach at any time of the year, however, the ideal time is in summer, from June to September every year, when you can comfortably bathe and participate in exiting outdoor activities.
It is about about 50 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City away from Can Gio beach. Due to the fact that Can Gio beach is not too far away from the city center and the transport infrastructure is very developed, it is possible to go to Can Gio in different ways. Visitors can easily get here in about 1 hour by car. From Ho Chi Minh, tourists can go to Can Gio beach by motorbike, by car or by bus from Ben Thanh Market, District 1. Located in Can Thanh Town, Can Gio is the only beach of Ho Chi Minh City.
The sea water is quite turbid and not as green as many other seas, that is because Can Gio is the estuarine sea, the alluvial of rivers flowing into the sea, which has made Can Gio have such color. Consequently, the beach is not really beautiful and romantic like other beaches of Vietnam. 2) Mui Ne Beach
Mui Ne beach is located downtown Phan Thiet about 22 km to the northeast, in a semicircle shape with sandy white beach, clear and clean water. Binh Thuan is an ideal destination for those who like wildlife, want to enjoy nature and majestic architecture. Contrary to a dynamic and energetic Ho Chi Minh city, Mui Ne beach is a place of pure tranquility. In recent years, the number of international tourists coming to Mui Ne has growed dramatically due to the improved quality of tourism services and the expenditure of traveling is very reasonable. Therefore, Mui Ne is considered one of the most beautiful and ideal beaches for tourists, especially honeymooners.
The road from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne is about 198 km in the east. With the not too far distance, the means to Mui Ne are quite diverse such as passenger cars and train, or you can travel by driving your own car. If you want to get to Mui Ne by passenger car, you can choose Phuong Trang or Sinh Café – the two reliable coach operators. If you want to travel by train, you may have to buy ticket, then get on the train at Saigon railway station and get off the train at Phan Thiet railway station.
Mui Ne has relatively stable weather, less rain and less affected by the storm so almost any time we can also travel to Mui Ne. However, in April and May, the temperature here will be much higher, if you do not want to walk under the terrible sun, you should not choose this month to travel Mui Ne. In addition, you should avoid traveling in September, October and November because at this time, Mui Ne often has sudden rains, it is likely that the weather will dash our plans. In summary, according to our travel experience, the best month to travel Mui Ne is from December to April and from June to August!

3) Ho Tram Beach

Ho Tram beach is only about 120 km from Ho Chi Minh city, about 2 – 2.5 hours by car on the highway, about 30 km from the tourist city of Vung Tau. Ho Tram beach is not busy and congested like other beaches. The beach here is long and alluring with clear and blue sea, white sand, especially the seafood is quite cheap. Ho Tram tourism has just flourished in recent years. Ho Tram Beach is a continuation between Long Hai beach and Binh Thuan Province, the distance from Ho Tram beach to Vung Tau is roughly 50 km. From Ho Chi Minh city, you can travel by motorbike, passenger car, driving your own car or by hydrofoil. If you travel by motorbike, you should take the National Route 51 and National Route 55. Furthermore, if you want to move by passenger car, you may start at Mien Dong Bus station to Vung Tau.
Ho Tram beach has a tropical monsoon climate, the weather is divided into two distinct seasons: rainy season (from May to October) and dry season (from November to April next year). However, Ho Tram’s climate is quite pleasant, cool and stable; you can travel to Ho Tram beach in the holidays or at the weekend with your family and friends.
Ho Tram Beach is one of the most pristine beaches in the world voted by the American magazine. The sea here is clear and green, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Going along the coast, you will see the forest stretching. Sitting on the shore to listen the wind blowing makes people feel they are young again. Coming to Ho Tram beach, you can go for a stroll along the beach and savour fresh seafood specialties, exploring Ho Tram cuisine is also an enjoyable and indispensable experience when traveling to Ho Tram. The food here is also varied and abundant, the most famous seafood dishes are the dishes with shrimp, fish, crab, squid … The delightful thing here is that you can buy fresh seafood right on the beach and bring it to the restaurant and prepare the dishes that you love. Or, you can bring gas stove to the beach to cook seafood and enjoy the food on the beach, which is also very amusing.

Besides swimming and enjoying seafood, you can also visit Phuoc Buu nature reserve which is considered as a miniature museum of Binh Chau. 4) Long Hai Beach
Long Hai beach is located in Long Dien District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, roughly 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Long Hai is about 12 km northeast of Vung Tau and 7 km south east of Ba Ria Town. Stretching from the east of town, Long Hai Beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in South Vietnam. This is excellent destination near Ho Chi Minh city, which is ideal for vacations on weekend days. Long Hai beach is long and wide, with white sand, smooth waves, having the harmony between the sea and the forest. This is the pure and fresh beach, compared to other beaches in Vung Tau.
Due to the lack of tourism, Long Hai still retains its pristine and tranquil attractiveness. The sea is extremely clean with clear blue water, the sea waves gently thrust into soft golden sand. Along the coast are small rock formations that add a touch of vibrancy to the sea. It can be said that the landscape here is charming as a romantic picture of nature.
Long Hai is located in the Southeast region, therefore, the weather is cool all year round, you can travel to Long Hai at any time of the year. However, in October and November, it is convenient for bathing, relaxing and especially watching the cherry blossom forest.
Just over 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, traveling to Long Hai is really convenient, you can go by car, motorbike or hydrofoil. If you want to travel by passenger car, you have to buy tickets at Mien Dong bus station and arrive at Long Hai bus station. Or you can move along National Route 1A and National Route 51 by your own car and motorbike. In addition, another option for you is traveling by hydrofoil originating from Saigon port (Ho Chi Minh city) and moving to Long Hai.
Long Hai beach, with wild beauty, will be a great place for visitors to sunbathe and go for a stroll in the afternoon. If you do not want to bathe, you can swim in the sea lagoon near the beach, which also makes you feel comfortable as in the sea. Connected to the beach is the Nuoc Ngot Pass (Fresh Water Pass), the other side is the cherry blossom forest. Especially on New Year’s day, cherry blossom bloomed on both sides of the road. From the Nuoc Ngot Pass’s view, where the rocky mountain reaching out the sea, visitors are really surprised by the beautiful picture of nature with the purple color of cherry blossom, the blue of the forest winding to the Long Hai beach. All will give you the feeling of being relaxed, and help you to forget the fatigue of everyday life. Near the beach, you can also go to some popular eateries to enjoy delicious seafood dishes, such as prawns, crabs, grilled squid … at extremely reasonable prices.

5) Tan Thanh Beach
Tan Thanh beach is located in Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province, about 50 km east of My Tho city and about 78 km south of Ho Chi Minh City. From Ho Chi Minh City, you follow National Route 50 – via Can Duoc, Long An – to My Loi Ferry, it will take you about 15 minutes to the other side. From here, you keep going to National Route 50 to Go Cong town, then turn right to Road 862 – about 15km to Tan Thanh Beach. Because it is not too far from Ho Chi Minh city to Tan Thanh beach, it will be fascinating if you can travel by motorbike to see the scenery along the road. Of course, you can travel by car and by bus if you do not want to drive motorbike. The best time to get to Tan Thanh is from March to September, May and from October to February according to the lunar calendar.
On the way to Tan Thanh, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the countryside with green rice fields and the row of trees along the road. Tan Thanh stretches for about 7 km, possessing black sand beach, and it is considered one of the most exciting beaches in Tien Giang.
A very special and characteristic feature of the Tan Thanh beach is that instead of yellow sand, the sand here is black, and if you go early in the morning when the tide is low, you can take a leisurely walk. Compared to the famous beaches like Mui Ne or Vung Tau, Tan Thanh beach is not really popular beach because of its black sand. Tan Thanh beach is alluvial beach, hence, the sea is not clear and green as other famous beaches. However, at this place, there are many types of delicious seafood (Tan Thanh beach is best known as the largest clam beach in the south) and this is a relaxing place which is especially good for tourists during the weekend.
At Tan Thanh beach, there is a long bridge leading to the sea, which is usually free, but if you are coming in holidays, you will have to buy a ticket. You can go through this bridge and admire the sea or look at majestic nature. Come to this beach, you will have time to relax, take pleasure in the fresh air, enjoy many delicious seafood and experience the lives of people here. Among the many delicious dishes here, you definitely should not miss the clam – the famous specialty of this region. The clam is processed into many attractive dishes such as steamed clams, clam hot pot, fried clams, … In addition, you will also observe people fishing right on the sea, which is also one of the most idyllic and familiar images.
One of the things you can not ignore is the sunrise and sunset at the Tan Thanh Beach. Perhaps many tourists find this beach most beautiful at dawn when the sun rises, and at sunset when the sun goes down.
