Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort & Spa

We spend our Tet holiday with a family in this resort (Lunar New Year) for 4 nights. Our parents been here last year and decided to bring us with our children to check it out. Overall this hotel is great, very peaceful and calm. It has two swimming pool one regular and one with a sea water (where we stay most of the time), the other pool had a Jacuzzi and a slide for children. The resort have playground for children which was a very important for us to keep them busy. The beach bar was okie but need to be updated with more new furniture and activities, not much to do after it get dark. For old couples, which were a majority it was probably just what they wish for but for young and middle age people it might get a bit boring. Most of the staff are supper friendly, polite and smily but some people in bar have attitude issues. The villas were good and had open bathrooms which give it a nice touch. I liked all decor and details. I am in F&B, Hospitality and Entertainment business for some time and I could sense 100% foreign management even tho I have not seen them. Because I pay attention to the details and I could see that management does as well. They even leave a note to warn us about some insects issues and leave a protection cream in each villa. All issues that we had like wifi or something need to bring or clean - been done and fixed very quickly. I have only one thing to complain is about prices of the resort for F&B versus the quality and the buffet could have been much better. The bacon and sausages were terrible, not much option either. Even tho we are in Vietnam and the Vietnamese soups that they serve were not great at all. Also day to day the variation of food choice was not really changing much. Perhaps, they should consider on getting a foreign executive chef in a team. They just have to push a little bit more to really be a 4 star resort. Hope this review will be useful.
