The Vietnam History Museum is located at the top of Trang Tien Street in the east of Hanoi. This 20th-century school building welcomes visitors to discover one of Vietnam’s finest historical artifacts.

Before entering the History Museum, do not forget to observe the subtle design of the building. Built in 1932, this building was formerly the French Uncle Far East. The façade combines the typical French colonnade with curved roofs and hexagonal towers commonly found in Chinese temples. Both the interior and exterior appearance of the building are decorated with statues of the Khmer and Cham kingdoms.

Let’s start from the ground floor to learn more about the artifacts of Vietnam ancient history through History Museum. From there, visitors will see precious jewelry of the ancient nobility and observations of prehistoric weapons as well as metal tools used in hunting and drinking in the early New Stone Stage. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to get closer to the tombs containing real people, especially, the largest collections, Dong Son drum in the country.

Continuing to the second floor of the History Museum, visitors will be lived in the 15th century. The exhibits of ancient sculptures depicting the peaceful scenery of the village of Vietnam. Prominent grounds are wooden blocks used to print Buddhist scriptures. Especially, visits have opportunities to blow their mind with artful ceramic art carefully preserved from the Nguyen Dynasty in the 19th century.
